| Job Description: | About company: - More than 50 years old Engineering Company, having its business operations in India and Europe Job title: Deputy Commodity Manager / Dy Sourcing Manager Job location: Vadodara Educational qualification: • Any Bachelor’s degree preferably with Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or equivalent Work experience: - Around 7 years to 10 years of progressive experience in Metal commodity management specifically in a manufacturing industry, preferably in a strategic setting in a mid to large size organization having more than 150 Crores Turnover. Job profile: • Strategically develop and implement commodity/supply chain strategies covering mainly Aluminum Extrusion related commodities. • Develop and manage pricing strategies. • Create and execute key performance metrics. • Routinely presents proposals, recommendations, and results of commodity metrics to senior leadership. • Manage, develop, and maintain responsibility for the business relationships with suppliers. • Understand and utilize to the Company’s advantage, the global commodity prices as they relate to currency trends. • Serve as a commodity information resource; this includes educating, coaching, and mentoring other employees in sourcing and planning, manufacturing, marketing, and product development.. • Perform other related duties as required or assigned. | Key Skills: | Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Excellent understanding of aluminum and associated commodities. • Experience and understanding of sourcing in India & Overseas. • Quality driven. • Solid track record of meeting substantial material cost reduction targets. • Strong analytical and financial acumen as it relates to commodity management. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines. • Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements. • Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectives. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
